the temperatures reach almost 80 Celsius in gtav i'm considering changing thermal paste on it(gpu is like 2 years old and had problems that seem to not show up on my pc) is it worth changing the thermal paste on a gpu with possible issues?

Hello.:)

Even if the question(s) seems "unnecessary":
Did you clean the Fan and the heatsink ? Is the GPU Fan running ?
Did you watch him ? Maybe it is on halt when your System is idle but how is his behavior under full load ?

Thank you.:)

Change fan curve if your worried. Tbh though on the 390 that temp is actually pretty normal. Wouldn't worry unless if actually starts throttling performance

Have the same exact card and thats normal for playing more intensive games without vsync, most graphics card run around that temp
