i broke my camera

my friend dropped my digital camera

i can still look at images
but the zoom lens is all messed and wont move
and when i turn it on its just buzz's

i cant get warranty becuase its not a manufactuer fault

what should i do!
Do people buy broken cameras?

or can i fix it?

Try making it look like not broken and sell it.

I had the same problem with my old camera. Try to get the lens open somehow then you can take pictures with it, but you can't zoom.

ps. not 100% sure if it works with all cameras. And by opening the lens i mean try to pull it out like iit's normally is when it's on. Hard to explain.

just call the manufacture, i dropped my cannon and they still fixed it for free, I just paid the $8 for shipping one way.
The worst they can say is "No we wont fix it" then get a new one, and never by that brand again.

I'd have to agree. It never hurts to ask. Also, with most portable products, there is a presumption that it should be able to take some bumps. Don't lie about what happened, but you could take the stance of irritation that their product was not able to withstand such a short fall (assuming your friend didn't throw your camera off a bridge). Be courteous and professional in your speech to customer service and you might get your stuff done for you.
