I own a G6 lite and I want to play The minish cap on my G6 and then put the save on my GBA cart. Is this possible? The G6 lite is a slot 2 card. So is it possible to write from slot 2 to slot 2? I really want to do this.

es, I just tested it myself on my G6 Lite (4Gb) and it works perfectly. Download the zip file here.

You will also need the DLDI patch found here.

You will also need the DLDI patcher found here.

Extract the two .Zip files and put every thing into one folder.
Double-click on dlditool32.exe to start it and it should automatically detect the DLDI patch (G6 Lite DLDI V0.19).
Click on the bottom ... button and select the cart_save.gba file.
You will have to switch the Files of Type: setting to All Files to see it.
Click on the Patch button and it should say Patched Successfully.

Copy the cart_save.gba file directly onto your G6 Lite.
Start the DS and press Y to switch to GBA mode.
Select MyCard, find and select the cart_save.gba file.
Press A to run it and follow the on screen instructions (listed as follows).

Press L to read a save file from a game cart.
Switch G6 Lite for game cart when prompted.
Press A to start the backup process.
Switch game cart for G6 Lite when prompted.
Press A and chose a directory to write the save file to. (OPTIONAL - If you don't chose one it will write to the root of the G6 Lite.)
Press B to write the save file to the G6 Lite.
Shut off the DS when prompted.

When you connect your G6 Lite to your PC you will see a .SAV file on your card. Copy that .SAV file to your desktop.
(This file is compatible with the VBA Emulator, but requires a conversion to work on the G6 Lite.)
Write the game to your G6 Lite using the U-Disk Manager then select the game from the U-Disk Manager menu.
Highlight the first save file ( .0 ) and click on the Write button.
Select the .SAV file from the desktop. You should get a pop-up saying Write OK!.
Disconnect the G6 Lite from your PC and your done.

If you have any more question, feel free to post them in this thread and I'll reply as soon as possible.

I'm using this method...but it won't work with minish cap. Is there something up with the minish cap? Some special protection?

That's the method to copy the save file from your original game cart to the G6, not the other way around. You need to copy the G6 save file to the original game cart. I don't know how that's done, though, but I seem to remember people talking about it. Good luck.

The process is almost exactly the same when copying a save file from the flashcart to the retail game. You just select the appropriate option after you run cart_save.gba and follow the instructions.

Well yeah I know that. But problem is The Legend of Zelda will not back it up or write. So yeah I'm kinda boned.
