You will have a boon with Mother 3 and Rhythm Heaven Silver, since both these games are the most accurate with actual hardware. (There is also Higan and Retroarch, but, not only are those not actually 'portable,' but also require you to adjust the video synchronization for proper enjoyment of these games.)

Also, try some GBA eBooks (whether they be text files or special software) or even music.
