I have no idea what to do. In India, I was able to find these for a reasonable price:

http://www.amazon.in/s/ref=nb_sb_no...d-keywords=r4+card+dsi&rh=i:aps,k:r4+card+dsi

I want to run DS ROMs(and hopefully GBA and NES?) on my DSi, and later on a 2DS. Which one should I buy? Or do I need to buy something else?

Where can I start generally? I have a Pokemon Volt White 2 ROM(ROM hack of White 2, which I own), and have emulated it before, but not much else.

Depending on the firmware version of your Nintendo DSi not all flashcarts will work.

Read this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-blocks-flashcards-with-dsi-firmware-1-4-1.252772/
and possibly this: https://forum.romulation.net/thread...ated-blocking-flashcards-do-not-update.58820/

There are emulators that let you play NES Games on a regular DS Flashcart, but for GBA Games your options are quite limited. Only the SuperCard DSTwo will actually give you a GBA Emulator that works well enough.

EDIT: GBA Flashcarts do not work on a DSi. Sorry for that.

I'll do what I do every time and suggest the DSTWO if you want to run GBA on your DSi. I know its more expensive, but the extra horsepower is mostly necessary for running GBA, since the DS cant emulate GBA.

Urgh... you are right, of course.
GBA Flashcarts aren't really an option on a DSi...
Geez... I'm sorry.

Okay, thanks so much. I have questions

Will AR/Gameshark codes work?
Can I do something, other than games like watch downloaded videos/listen to music?
Finally, if it's compatible with my DSi, will it work on a 2DS(or even a 3DS)?

The DSTWO's built in GBA emulator supports cheats iirc. You may want to switch to TempGBA for better compatibility though.
