i just finished professor layton 1 cause i wanted to replay the entire series so far and i just realized how awesome the music in the games are.

i hope there arn't any other awesome vgm i missed

The background music is really generic and the "songs" they have in the beginning are barf worthy. I remember popping in the first KH and muting it within 5 seconds.

Definitely. I have the soundtracks to Alan Wake and MadWorld, not Mass Effect though.

No More Heroes and Metal Gear Solid are two of my favorites though. Red Dead Redemption also was pretty good, it was very moody and the melodies and songs always fit the mood.

I like most of the Zelda OST and Some kingdom hearts. Megaman Battle Network's battle musics were awesome (Even the one for the gamecube). I like music from Sonic, Golden Sun, Metal Gear Solid, Mario, Persona 3, The character select from Bleach HTS 7, etc.

VGM is all I listen to really...and remix of VGM, but a game with good music is always a plus.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl has a unique piece of music.

Mother 3's music was composed by God himself. So many memorable tunes, and the in-game sound player actually has a Favorites system so it's easier to listen to your favorites.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl has a unique piece of music.

Brawl has by far one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard. It's basically a compilation of Nintendo music over their lifespan, remastered and some remixed, and it sounds fantastic. It's around 300 songs and it's really awesome.

Super Mario Galaxy is also pretty good from what I've heard.

OH HELL YEAH!!! How can I forget SSBB!!! I stayed in sound test for like an hour everytime I played that game before I got the OST

I definitely recommend the soundtrack for Mass Effect. Its pretty brilliant. And as for Red Dead: Redemption, the music really didnt hit me until I reached Mexico when Jose Gozalez played. that was the standout moment for the game (in terms of music) followed closely by the song that plays as you ride home to finally see your family.
