2. The term "jailbreak" is used exclusively in the context of an iPhone. The term you're looking for is "unlock."

3. The answer to your question is "no." The current iteration of the Evo is CDMA-only and thus will not work in the Philippines.

Just got one on friday. Love it.

But sadly, Urza is completely correct. It is a CDMA phone, and does not have a sim card.

The new HTC espresso is looking to be a very nice phone, and its GSM I believe.
