Gaming HP DV-5 card reader

Hi, i have a recently bought HP pavillion DV-5 laptop, 1157ca with jmb38x 5 in 1 built in card card reader
i have the latest drivers installed, but im getting a maximun speed of 1mb/s
i tested with several SD cards, class 2 sandisk, class 6 professional lexar, same speed.
is it just a cheap card reader or is there a solution to this problem

My brother has the same exact Laptop, i have also realized the same slow speeds

HP piece of shit. My only advice is to buy a usb adapter if you are not happy with the speeds. I doubt that a driver update will fix things either ( as in speed). I guess it is a cheap card reader, meh i don't use that laptop much so
