@IcySon55 Has Added Label Adding To his latest release of MSBT Editor Reloaded
Go There Now...
About time someone added this! Awesome!
By the way, since you know how to do this, would a tutorial on custom nameplates be possible? I haven't seen any on here, and on other sites they're videos.
look up xxsonicbrawlerxx on youtube he has a video
That's my point. Well, I'll write it then since I've seen the video.
but there is no need in general videos are better
just fyi: MmelCharaR_ is the 3D text that appears on the results screen when a character wins. MmelCharaN_ is used for things like pokemon stadium 2, where the contestant names are shown on the screen in the back. excellent tutorial! hopefully msbt editor will support this process very soon
EDIT: having trouble figuring out the label index part. i'm trying to add 5 strings at the same time, and the value i have is 00 00 09 5A (increased from 00 00 09 55). in the tutorial, it says to take that value, subtract 0x1, and paste it to the end of my label. but in the pictures, both say 00 00 09 56. does that mean i don't subtract 0x1? would i use 00 00 09 56, then 00 00 09 57, then 00 00 09 58 etc?
Sorry you had to spend the time writing up this massive tutorial @Zarklord.
I've just released an updated version of MSBT Editor Reloaded that allows the addition and removal of labels.
Many thanks to @Zarklord for kicking my ass into gear to get this done!
