(obviously the channels wouldnt be inverted, but you get the idea and i'm lazy)

Is there a method of dumping the gfx yet?

Perhaps we could use preloader to test out modified system menus in future?

If we could figure out where the GFX are stored im sure we could rip them > invert them (in my example) > and repackage them.

That, of course, relies on the UI being a series of images.... maybe theres a way of altering the menu's RGB values some how, on boot up, that could alter the individual colours?

Then we could alter the health warning screens etc...

The first step is finding out where the UI is called from and whether we can dump it.... any ideas any one?

Been googling the "beta interfaces", quite interesting:

I prefer the final interface though.

Yeah apparently in the early UI for "revolution" they remodeled the DS UI, it included wii remote connection strength indicators too! (probably a throw back from the wave bird radio method)

Also the early VC channels were pretty neat:

mediabrowser_image.php

mediabrowser_image.php

mediabrowser_image.php

mediabrowser_image.php

mediabrowser_image.php

I like these ideas, someone could reinvent these as emulator channel banners etc.

Whishizza was looking into changing the startup screen etc....theres a thread about it, but i don't think he's releasing the info on how to do it yet as it's extremely dangerous to fuck around with the files involved. Almost a certain brick if you don't know what your doing.

Think icefireicefire gave a version of his own to ironmask to alter the healthscreen, it bricked irons wii, but amazingly iron walked away unscathed and cioscorp saved his wii-wii.

If I remember correctly, the system menu is actually just a series of html documents and some sort of image files. Shouldn't be to hard to modify, but if something goes wrong, I would guess that your wii would brick (in a way similar to a banner brick).

Edit: I was partially correct in my previous statement. All the menus and stuff are html, and possibly the message board as well. As far as we know, the main menu with the icons and stuff is not.
