Hacking How to use RTS on R4i Gold 3DS (r4ids.cn) and Wood 1.61?

I have a couple questions re: RTS on an R4i Gold 3DS running Wood 1.61. I apologize if these questions have been answered elsewhere, but my searching has turned up nothing useful.

From the most recent Wood software readme files, it looks like the RTS feature is still in beta stages. Does this mean that it's presently useable?

Also, is RTS hardware dependent? I acquired my R4i Gold 3DS prior to their being any RTS designations. It appears to be a version C card based on the back.

When I enable the RTS setting in Wood, my DS Lite gets stuck with a red "Loading" message and never gets beyond that. Disabling the RTS feature makes the cart work as usual.

How does one use the RTS feature?

So I've read some postings explaining that there is no difference between RTS versions and non-RTS versions of the card - it was simply a product renaming.

However, does anyone know how to use the RTS feature?

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
