Hacking How to use Gecko/Ocarina with DVD backups?

Hi, ive got a couple of backups that i want to hack using Ocarina

For example, ive got a disc backup of Super Mario Galaxy 2, i have the GCT file saved in the right place and everything.

I load it up using Neogamma, with Ocarina enabled, using default cIOS.

If i use Neogamma r8, it doesnt work at all, and it boots to a black screen.

If i use r6, it boots the game, but the cheats do not work.

I do NOT have any worthy USB drives, so i cannot use a USB loader to manage my cheats. So how would i be able to use Ocarina with Disc backups?

Or maybe be able to boot backups from Gecko OS? I dunno, i just wanna cheat Mario Galaxy 2

Ya Use Gecko OS 1.9.3.1 U can also hack WiiWare/VC games as well with this! lol

If I remember correctly, Gecko won't boot disc backups without Cioscorp/Darkcorp installed (could be wrong)..but also, make sure you are using the right hook type for the game! I'm not sure which hook type SMG2 uses so google around
