it give me a error "msvcr71.dll" missing file when converting cia to 3ds :/

I see a youtuber use this for Pokemon videos (shofu), how does he do it? He plays wi-fi battles with those graphics and I'm trying to figure out how to do it for my own uploads. Does the emulator have the ability to play people over wi-fi? Or is he just viewing the battles in the emulator. I have no idea. Excuse my ignorance I'm still a noob at this.
