sysupdater has just been updated from .4b to .4 (removed beta status)
"Fixed 2 critical bugs. Updating is perfectly safe now. Tested with updating from 4.5 to 9.7"

Do NOT use this version until people with nand mods can verify it's safe.

Edit: With version 0.4 (NOT 0.4b) I successfully upgraded 4.5 to 9.2. Hopfully user piratesephiroth or others can confirm this.

Now on to testing that super-risky sounding downgrade feature.

So I don´t have CN Im currently using the mset port on 4.2U with FBI devmenu, BBM already installed, and a few legit cias and 2 non legit cias working fine, Can I update the FW to 9.* using sysupdater 0.3?? will I be able to launch pasta using mset on it?? Should I wait until Nop releases a full working mset port for 9.*? Sorry for so many questions but wanting so bad to play my super smash bros.

The current release of Pasta MSET is only compatible with 4.x firmware. If you try to use it on newer firmware, it will not launch. Wait until the official Pasta 2.0 is released at minimum, which should bring with it Spider compatibility.

I only succeeded on upgrading 4.4.0-4J into 4.5.0-10J.
I installed Sysupdater with Devmenu.

If the error message is not New3DS exclusive, then it may be caused by various reasons.

For USA and EUR OLD3DS there are no 9.2.0-20 cia updates.
For JPN, there are 2 more (going from 9.0.0 to 9.2.0).

In my case (USA O3DS), I got 126 cia files with 3DNUS v1.9 (for 9.0.0-20 or 9.2.0-20).
So using this method, I would only end up on 9.0.0-20U, correct?

Hmm, it says Homepage -> New3DS 9.2.0-20 report -> Titlelist
That would be for NEW3DS not OLD3DS

I'm experimenting now with UpdateCDN and it's running...

Edit: Yay, UpdateCDN generated the same files (verified with md5) as 3DNUS, with the additional 9.0.0-20-stage2 folder that I disregarded (n3ds specific titles have a 2 in the ninth digit ) and the two 9.2.0 files that you pointed out above

So by adding those two missing cia's, I can update to 9.2 and that's why it would update to 9.0 instead? Just want confirmation, gonna try the update again and go from 9.0 to 9.2. I'll definitely spread the word on this whenever I can!

Yeah, for whatever reason, they're not listed in the O3DS page, that's why 3DNUS can't find them alone.

The problem was sysupdater 0.4b, I added it in the OP already. He shouldn't have bricked if he used the version 0.3 or 0.4. (except if he updated inside gateway mode)

so i can use 0.4? because 0.3 gives me an unknown method error when trying to extract from the archive.

sorry for the double post. i got sysupdater 0.3 installed as cia. when i launch it it says "if you are using the cia you can close the program now."
does that mean i shouldn't run it as cia? Should i use it from ninjhax instead?

No you have to use the cia, I dunno why it doesn't work for you. And yes the 0.4 version is safe.
