Hacking How to update N3DSXL emuNAND from 9.0 to 9.5?

Is there a way to do this? My N3DSXL has been a paperweight because the newer games are so limited to it. I'd love to play my other games on my N3DSXL but I haven't seen a way exactly. I THINK one way I saw was to install a 9.5 update from a game that had it but it's most likely I'm wrong. I'd appreciate the help.

Use sysupdater to update emunand. You can download 9.5 firmware from that iso site.

Yes, cia is the only way to update your emunand firmware. Or you can find a game with 9.5 firmware.

There is a thread on that iso site that contains the CIA files for many firmwares. I know a couple people qho used them and they work. You can just use devmenu to install all cias if i recall correctly. but sysupdater is always the best option

3dsNus can download firmware but Nintendo removed old firmwares.

that's only for game cards containing 9.9 and up.

Yes works with GW. Will brick if used in sysnand. emunand is fine. Get the latest one, I think 4.1. Use install all cia not one by one.

If you are on Gateway the easiest way is to get a ROM of Puzzle & Dragons Z. + Super Mario Bros. Edition (matching your region) and hold D-Pad Up while entering GW mode, this will disable the update blocking so you can use the ROM to update. I updated my n3DS' emuNAND this way.
Though with Gateway's firmware spoofing feature, every game should work on 9.0, you'd only be missing out on a couple features like theme shuffling. I've never encountered a game that didn't work on 9.0 emuNAND but had to update it to 9.5 to make NTR-CFW work.
