Hacking How to update a 3DS from 4.0E to 9.0E?

I have launch 3DS on 4.5.0-7E. I want to update its sysNand to 9.0 or 9.2. I have a Gateway card. What is the easiest way to do it? Can I use GW for this?

You can use rxtools 3.0 devMode to update.

First grab the o3ds 9.2.0-20E files from iso site and put them in a folder called updates on the root of the 3ds SD card. Boot gw in sysnand mode and install sysupdater. Reboot and access rx menu from the Web launcher. Go into devMode then run sysupdater

Do I need to use the full pack or the update pack?
