Hacking how to unlink NNID from emunand?

So I bought an n3ds from my friend who had his NNID linked to it. stupid of me i didn't format the n3ds before setting up emunand and unlinking sysnand and emunand. So basically his NNID is still connected to it and i can't system transfer my o3ds emunand with my NNID. My question is can i use tinyformat to unlink the NNID or does it not work that way? Would I have to call nintendo services to unlink it (Telling them i broke it or something).
