Hacking How to transfer GBA saves from EZFlash IV to Acekard?

Quick question, how do I transfer my GBA saves from my EZ Flash IV to my Acekard 2i? I have a 3in1 in my DS so I'd rather use that to play GBA games instead of the full size EZ Flash IV cart. I transferred all the .sav files from the EZ Flash IV to the microSD card in my Acekard, but every time I start a GBA game it's like I'm starting a new game with no save data. What am I doing wrong? I've tried placing the .sav file in both the /GBA_SAVE folder and in the same folder with the ROMS, but nothing is working. There has to be something I'm missing

Also, I did make sure the .sav file names match the ROM name exactly. Could this be a hardware issue with the 3in1? It is a few years old. Dead battery? But even if the battery is dead, it should still load the .sav file when launching the game, correct?
