I'm going to mod a friend's PSP soon, and apart from the information that it's a Darth Vader White PSP Slim, I have nothing else to go on. I'm not sure if Sony is retroactively putting the new motherboard into the PSP packs, but I'd like to be sure before I begin.

Is there a way I can tell what version of the motherboard he has just off of the serial number of the bottom? No box, so that's not an option.

mobo doesn't matter, it's too old to be one of the affected ones.

All right, I'll take that as a green light then. Thanks!
