Hacking how to spot fake acekard 2i?

i am planning to buy some acekard 2i

but im scared to buy because i dont know how to spot the fake one

i was scammed once in online shopping so i dont trust anymore online shops..

so i decided to buy local here in philippines

they say they import it to a legit reseller
and it was the original one..

is it fake or real?

The picture appears to be of a real card, but there's no way to know how that represents the actual product. Generally the only way to be sure is to actually buy it. When you're dealing with grey market goods there's nearly always a risk, but you just have to take it.

with the old clones you could tell by the box size, by the sticker on the card, or by looking at the PCB. the new generation of clones are 1:1 but using cheaper parts. there is no way to tell except to check the anti-counterfeit code. if it shows your card was checked more than once (probably from the reseller before they shipped it) then it would be a fake/clone.

i just finished an email conversation with acekard and they informed me that each of their codes are unique. each ak2i that they make has a code which has never been checked. they made it clear that if your code has been checked that you should contact your reseller and ask for a legit acekard.

all you can do is buy from a good reseller. don't cheap out and try to save a few bucks, its the cards being purchased for cheaper (and then sold for less) which are often the clones. RHS has just issued a recall on fake ak2is that were sent to them without their knowledge. RHS is checking the code before they ship out the card. to my knowledge they are the only shop taking responsibility for this recent 1:1 clone/fake epidemic. other shops i have talked with (or read about) are claiming that the codes are recycled, that acekard is the one recycling the codes, and that the do not know how to tell if the card is fake.

is that fine?

you need to contact the shop you purchased from and ask if they checked the code before sending it out. be sure to ask how many times they checked it. no one can answer your question for you until you find that out.

what i could ask you is if the sticker was pealed off or if you had to reveal the code yourself. if the sticker was not pealed off then yes your card would be a fake because there is no way they could have checked the code without doing that.

i already contacted the shop

they say they already checked it one time for verification if its original
and they also said that maybe the reseller in china checked it also?

and i they also give me a 1 year warranty for that..

uhm.. i missed something..

my acekard 2i menu is DORASU..

but i think it should be "Acekard 2i" right?
just like in their site?

Acekard's site seriously needs updating.

The Acekard 2i logo shows when your cart is flashed to work on DSi 1.3 under.

DORASU just means you have the latest version.
