Gaming How to shut down the Wii in GameCube mode?

Ive done some searching but didnt find an answer. Whats the correct way to shut down the Wii in GameCube mode? The way i do it: I take out the disk, reset the Wii and shut it down from the power button. Is this right or wrong? Thx and sorry for the noob question.

You guys know that the Wii resets when you press the power button in GC mode? (maybe only with BootMii boot2)
To me that's a reasonable question. I press the power button, then reset(boot HBC from BootMii) and then power again. Would be nice if there was some nice way to do it without the drive spinning up and without ejecting the disc.

only if you tap it if you push it for like 1 second it powers off. now how hard is that to do?

Now now guys, he/she just asked how to shut it down. There's no need to start fighting here.. Just push the little button called "power" and that should do it.

Holding the power button until the Wii is off works of course. But it still spins up the dvd drive, and just cuts the power down instead of shutting down all hardware correctly. That's even worse than what i'm doing right now.

LOL, i just wanted to know if its ok to keep pressing the reset button every time i shut it down

Apparently the reboot instead of the shutdown is a known issue for BootMii, but even bushing was unable to figure out what exactly caused it. Hmm, here's the best 2 methods i currently have:
- Press power, wait, press reset(BootMii boots HBC), wait, press power
- Eject sd card, press power, grab the disc that was ejected

I go outside, and pull the 480 right outta the house.
That shuts my wii power off correctly....

have priiloader installed.

press power.
hold down reset.
once in priiloader, turn it off with wii remote or power button or however you choose to turn it off in wii mode.
