Hacking How to seperate sysNand from Emunand on 9.2?

Hi guys
I want to sepereate my sysnand from emunand and my 3ds is on 9.2
How do I do this? Is the process the same as 4.5 because I have read that when you try to format it asks you to update to later firmware on firmwares higher than 4.5.

So far what I have seen is that if I go to settings and click format system memory it asks me to connect to internet to check is this system can be formatted :S

-Use emunand tool to make a backup of your emunand partition
-Format your 3DS sysnand
-Reformat emunand using GW launcher
-Restore your emunand backup with emunand tool

Ok the problem is that I think I cannot format sysnand while on 9.2 because it will ask me to update my sysnand to later firmware in order to format.
As I said before when I click format system memory on sysnand it asked me to connect to the internet to verify if my memory can be formatted.

Also where do I find the emunand backup tool?

You can safely format sys nand yes it needs to connect to the internet but no it will not update i just tried it on my 3ds that has a nand mod and it did not update the firmware

Why bother unlinking sysNAND and emuNAND?

It's not that hard to not use Data Management or the eShop, and even if you do, it's easy to reinstall your DLC and themes.

Is there something I'm missing?

It seems you then need to format emunand too because the nnid settings are screwed up

Did you remove the big SD card from your 3ds before formating your sysnand?

yes I removed it :/
I formatted emunand now, however sysnand and emunand are now linked

since it is not a big issue, I will keep it like that

I didnt enter it on sysnand, everythings works now

I did not format emunand, only sysnand but now I cant log into nintendo shop
If I format emunand now will it link it again with sysnand?
Also if I enter nnid on sysnand will it fix the issue that cannot connect on emunand on eshop?

Try formatting sysnand, then extracting your emunand from your SD using that emuNAND tool you can find over the internet(I don't really remember the name) and then format emunand and copy back your extracted emunand. It should work

I have good news. After I formatted sysnand I entered my NNID on the sysnand and it allowed me to go into eshop on emunand after getting some messages like when you run eshop for the first time. So there is no need to format emunand after seperation. Just input your NNID on sysnand

One more question. Now that I have seperated emunand and sysnand if I go on data management on emunand to uninstall some demos I have left over will I have any problem with installed cias and themes?

I think I've read that going into the data management menu in emunand will end up uninstalling some data such as themes or games. I may be wrong though.
