Hacking How to run wiiware/VC games off SD card?

I just installed 4.0 update and I got these wiiware game in .wad files. I tried placing the .wad file into the root and even wad folder but its not appearing on the SD channel.

you need wad manager to install the wads.

It's easy. Buy the games and install them directly to the SD card from the Shop Channel.

Or... buy them, install them to the internal memory, and then go to the memory management screen to move the channel to the SD card.

maybe its me.. but does WADmanager work on 4.0 without Homebrew??
(thats just me who doesn't have homebrew but have .wad files....)

If you are on 4.0 without any homebrew you can't use any homebrew so you cant do anything with those wads until a new way to install the homebrew channel on 4.0 is found. So you're stuck where you are now and can't do anything on this site to your wii except legitimately buy your games through the shop channel.

I was on 4.0e with homebrew channel, then i used this: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=146735
to go back to 3.3e.

Then i upgraded again using this: http://wehackwii.pbwiki.com/News+-+System+Menu+v4

Now i install a .wad file with wad manager 1.3, then i copy it to the sd card and it works from the sd channel

Time to buy a new sd card because there's lots of good vc/wiiware games

Thanks works now. Any way to play pal wiiware games? I keep getting This channel cannot be used.

there is some sort of program that can regionfree the wad files, but i dont know which one exactly. freethewads?

what i would like is when i have .wad files on my computer that i can directly extract them to my sd card and then play in the sd channel.
