What is actually required currently to run DevKit XEXes? Currently I own a JASPER V1 with RGH1. Also running one of the Metro Style Dashboard.
I have somewhat struggled to find some current information about this.
Anyone able to help me out?

You can transform your RGH into a Devkit by using RGLoader.
You'll have to flash a hacked NAND with dev flags made by RGLoader to your console and install a recovery of said dev dash.

If you want to keep both a retail-hacked state and a devkit state, I'd suggest investing in a Dual NAND chip.
Makes it easier to switch around dashes.

Thanks for the information, I'm understanding a bit more now.

Does it matter which current Dashboard the X360 is running before I start?

    Nope.

XDK dash is completely different then the retail dash.
Your current NAND image has to be replaced with a hacked Dev one, it wouldn't matter if you got 7371 on JTAG or 17511 on RGH.
With that comes reinstallation of the dashboard onto the HDD (I honestly suggest getting a separate harddrive for it, makes switching easier)

To go back on a single NAND setup, you'd have to flash back the hacked NAND and swap HDD's or reinstall the dash.
Dual NAND would be a matter of flipping a switch, pair that with 2 HDDs and you get the point.

Search for "17559 HvP.xex" - will solve all your problems.

I can't seem to get this to work.

I added it as a plugin to DashLaunch, and have the plugin on the root of the internal Hard Disk.
What am I doing wrong here?

The place where you found it, is probably the best for support - I never used it, I just knew it is what you are looking for :D
