I've been on the internet and Wii for ages looking up How-To guides and officially sick of it, so sorry if this is a noob question but WiiDump isn't working like it is supposed to.

I have:
Homebrew Channel 1.0.1
IOS36 v4.18 (according to HomeBrew Channel)
My system firmware is 3.2E

I put the SD Card into the wii and try to load WiiDump, it loads a screen saying 'Press any button to exit'. That's clearly not how the program is supposed to work (I hope o_o)
Any help will be returned will... thanks. That's all I can really give you...

I've tried for the last... however long since you replied... and I can't figure out how to upgrade my cIOS. The internet seems to not like noobs anymore and all the sites just say 'Download the update and do it' without a proper guide

Anyhow, I have CIOS36 rev10 installer in a .dol format

How do I make it upgrade on the Wii using SD?

Thanks again!

On your SD you most likely have an directory called "apps". Navigate into it and create another dir with a name of your choice. Inside this directory you have to put the .DOL file from the archive you downloaded, renamed to "boot.dol" (

I'm getting:
Reading cIOS36-64-1042.wad... Error (ret = -1)
Tried multiple SD cards...
Didn't know I had a wad for it to read?

Edit: I get it during the installer for the record

So I actually need a WAD...
I have to do WAD install as I don't have WiFi
I'm using some DVD-SD Backup Disk now (0.1g thing) and that's working fine. I'll try updating later, thanks a lot for helping everyone!
