How to request a decrease of warning levels?

in the ToS it is stated:

Staff have the ability to decrease warning levels if a member makes a positive impression that they are trying to improve themselves.

Practically speaking this implies that staff can be requested to lower warning levels. What are proper ways to do so?

I respect your decisions. I'm just starting to get a litte weirded out by the warnings I'm getting, since I take them as instructions from the staff. This just confuses me.

Your warn "timer" has been reset a full year, try again next time.
