I need to remove emunand and I want to know how to backup my save, themes, games, etc
Do you have a9lh?
If you are going to remove the emuNAND to install another one or you have a9lh sysNAND -> JK SaveManager
if you have a9lh, just use decrypt9 or hourglass9, (it's your own damn choice )to backup your emunand and flash it to your sysnand(keeping a9lh) -section IV
Hourglass9 instead, as you can't delete A9LH with that.
OP wants to remove EMUNAND NOT A9LH! OP wants to keep A9LH while flashing his emunand to sysnand. Read the OP
You know I said that he should use Hourglass9 as it can't remove the a9lh?
decrypt9wip can't remove a9lh too if OP chooses the (keep a9lh) option
yes but Hourglass9 is better for "noobs" as it makes it impossible (the important bit) to accidentally remove arm9loaderhax.
Both can do the same thing. Hourglass9 just prevents people from choosing the wrong option and will always leave A9LH intact.
Two ways of doing the same thing.
Did you even read the guide again?
yes, as I did it in multiple consoles. and always used decrypt9wip
Go to the last page and tell me where it tells you to use Decrypt9WIP
I know it changed but I still prefer decrypt9wip to hourglass9
you may prefer it, but it's still better to recommend Hourglass9 to others who may not need/use Decrypt9, and it's better to not have a feature that can remove arm9loaderhax on accident for most users.
It's unnecessary to recommend it for people that don't want to make a clean restore
ok lemme edit. done
Honestly recommending D9 for noobs is irresponsible. The amount of times I've seen people accidentally miss the "keep a9lh" option is astounding. Seriously, there's no need to tell people to use D9 for making backups and dumps while keeping a9lh. H9 does that much more safely for noobs.
