Homebrew How to properly back up New 3ds XL?

I know I ask a lot of questions and it's because I am very cautious when it comes to expensive devices... Is this a good tutorial?
The last time I had help from a former friend doing this whole process took 4 hours. Will this take at most 1 hour?

Well if I start over, is the backup pretty much useless? Should I format or clean the SD card before proceeding?

honestly don't use that youtube guides for your 3ds
if you want something simple then

if you just recently backed up the sd card then i see no problem with a format

You should donate to the guide creators or to the actual devs that make your CFW experience possible.

Anyways, I think browserhax may be down. Not sure, heard someone try, but it failed. I can't actually test it on my own at the moment.

Lets say I DO care about my saved files like Pokemon and Smash bros... which folder contains that?

There should be many .sav on the root of your SD card, but, AFAIK, they will become useless once you set up a completely new Emunand, and, you would have to use savedatafiles or jk's(?) save manager to make them to work..

The Nintendo 3DS folder, but they are encrypted. You need to use svdt through HBL to get them out properly.

There should be many .sav on the root of your SD card, but, AFAIK, they will become useless once you set up a completely new Emunand, and, you would have to use savedatafiles or jk's(?) save manager to make them to work..

.sav files on the root of your SD card is a Gateway only thing... He said he uses ReiNAND, so it's safe to assume he isn't a GW user.

Took a lot longer than 4 hours for us to set this up "buddy". Apparently asking you to TRY Monster Hunter with me and your other "friends" for a few min after was asking too much, though. Apparently you don't mind PAYING random people on the internet for help, however. Glad to see you are having problems. Karma's a bitch, huh?

You actually already had Luma3DS, just from back when it was called AuReiNand.... You broke menuhax, not your CFW. But I'm sure you knew that.
