Hello,

As we know when you run a (E) game in the japanese dsi it run automaticly in english if this one has not the menu to choose the language like : GTA chinatown , new mario bros ds , Mario 64 ....
i'm using an R4sdhc i've tried to change the rom settings to make french the default language but it didn't work .

Is there a way to make this possible my friends ?

It's not impossible, but there is no simple solution. Each game works differently in how the game loads the required language. So you would have to hack each game or create a Action Replay Code.

I'll take a look at Super Mario 64 DS and see how easy it is. :)

The solution, or at least the first pass method, can be quite simple.

The DS (which is the mode 99% of games, or all if you are running from a conventional DS flash cart) dumps a copy of the firmware settings into RAM, one of those is the region flag.
Said firmware settings are going to be the same for each game (not that I have looked but I would be shocked for them to bother slicing it up), and will tend to be somewhere late in memory (often just before the overlay sections).

Apparently some games store the initial play/boot value but it is easy enough to wipe the save.

There may also be a near universal code (I am somewhat surprised at this, expected RAM to be the same format but maybe a different location).
