As The title suggests "How To Open Eshop and Use Online Features without Updating Firmware". So a new update became live and Im still new to homebrew and stuff and I don't want to update yet since I might lose my access to the Homebrew, so how Can I Use online features without updating firmware on Homebrew Firmware Version 11.7 no CFW and Entry Point is SteelHax.

The 11.8 patch fix says it's the joyconhax edition, which we all know well that's an April Fool's build. I wondered if that's just the leftover messages?

The update of Luma that works is the nightly. Stable releases will not work with 11.8

Avoid updating anyways. People who are upgrading to 11.8 and using pirated games will likely be mass banned soon.

I know the patched 11.8 fix for the nightly Luma3DS has the joyconhax text in the configuration screen, though. Also, I need to update, because I need to collect Pokemon Legendary Mystery Gifts for my physical cartridges.

If you are intent on updating it might be a good idea to delete all your pirated games.
And remove all your unauthorized tickets.

Been trying to find information sources on when the checks would trigger. I did see some posts are saying the checks are triggered during installation of the games, but where did that come from?

This is the only reliable source I've seen quoted as of now.
Anything more may just be speculation.
Might be worth reading that thread to see if you can find when it's triggered. I've not read much of it as even the first post is enough reason for me to not update for now.
