Hello, I'm off to buy a switch and try to mod it myself. ---- ( PLAY GAMES OFF SDCARD ONLINE/OFFLINE NOTHING MORE ) ----
I did a bit of research but I'm not sure about those answers I got to my questions and this is why I came here to continue my research and ask some question.

  • 1. How do I know if my switch is hackable? not sure if this is the good site https://ismyswitchpatched.com/

  • 2. Is the v2 of the switch hackable now?

  • 3. Is there a good guide for noobs to mod the switch? easy method too?

  • 4. Should I try to mod it or is it better to buy a sx os?

  • 5. Not sure what a RCM loader is and how it works.

  • 6. What should I know before start doing it? any vital things I should know before trying to mod it myself?

  • 7. Is this a good guide to follow or is it outdated? or is there a better video guide than this?

  • 8. Anything like apps plugins that might benefit my switch?

  • 9. Is it safe to play online games? and if so is there any risk of ban?

  • 10. Can my console be banned if try to go online?

All I want to do is play games off SDCARD online/offline, any noob guide will help such as what is the format of a Nintendo switch game, is it NCA not sure. anything will help

THANK YOU!

Search for an unpatched v1 Nintendo Switch if you want to hack it via the easy route.
V2's are hackable too but only with a modchip soldered to the Switch board. If you're skilled enough with soldering and found a modchip for V2 consoles, then any Switch revision, even the latest OLED version is ready to be hacked/modded.

Yes, check ismyswitchpatched first.
Never use video guides, they could be outdated, use https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
Does v1switch still has problems?
what about this site https://switch.homebrew.guide/
Can the switch go online and play games? with other players?

Unpatched V1's are working fine, just the regular battery degradation (almost reaching 5 years since launch).
Game backups or illegal downl... you know what I mean, cant be played online officially, Nintendo can ban the account linked to that console the moment they detect pirate titles installed.

Still you can use sysnand for a clean OS without any modification and online play or make an emuMMC on your SDcard for all that extra illegal activity without going online at all.

So no online on emuMMC, but when launching the switch you can chose between emuMMC and sysnand? and using sysnand will make the switch like it wasn't modded? clean os? meaning i can play physically games and eshop games online making them legit games? right?

Exactly. After injecting the payload (hack), hekate (the bootloader) displays an interface and there you can select different options to boot depending on your configuration (different partitions for emuMMC, android, Linux). Clean SysMMC (no mod, clean, ideal for online gaming), CFW SysMMC (not recommended) or emuMMC created on SDCard. Yeah thats correct, with a clean sysnand you can play your physically games and eshop games online without any risk of ban.

It won't unban you, which is why I have a seperate system for modding. All offline functions will be preserved. I believe the real reason to use emummc is brick protection, but someone correct me if I am wrong. If you get banned on switch, that's it. There is no undo.

    A) do a nand backup using hekate before doing anything else

You should have emunand for homebrew and use the sysnand for online and offical things

So I can use my phone to push the payload and will go with fusee-gelee
Do I need this?

After I get CFW on my switch, will I be able to choose between boot options? every time I turn on the switch? between emuMMC CFW and OFW SYSNAND not sure how this really works that's why I ask again, does the emuMMC uses SDcard and the SYSNAND OFW uses SDcard only for saves? and by having two different profiles meaning when I will boot to emuMMC will I have my games from my SDcard there, and when I boot SYSNAND OFW will there be only the physical game and eshop games right? and be able to play online on OFW SYSNAND legit games?

If you use Hekate, you can freely choose between booting sysMMC or emuMMC. As you guessed, emuMMC does use your SD card to boot your console. The save files for your sysMMC though are stored internally on the console; saves never go to the SD card which is explicitly stated on Nintendo's website if you check.

Since emuMMC is initially a copy of sysMMC, whatever games were installed in sysMMC will be carried over to emuMMC. However once emuMMC is created, then they will operate independently of one another meaning games installed to emuMMC will not automatically be in sysMMC and vice-versa.
