Hi,
I have theses subtitle files which I corrected their timing (like second one starts from 59':30":30) but the numbering is wrong.

as you know, each .srt section has a number like

22
"subtitle text"
24:11:24 --> 24:41:44

the first one is correct by itself but second one starts from number one too and makes it not possible to just copy and paste.
is there such software to join/merge them?

-thnx.

Plenty that will do it. Not that it matters much/at all but I am assuming they are basic srt subs rather than the xml madness that is SSA/ASS.

Subtitle workshop should be good to begin with (at worst you add on an hour to the time and go from there).

Press ctrl and J or hit the tools pulldown menu and select it from there.

Regarding knowing stuff: while everyone else has had to do to work I spent years learning stuff and video was a major part of it.

Took a look at the subtitles (grr megaupload)
It seems the subtitles are using a . for the fraction separation while srt uses a , (srt was written by a Frenchman meaning a , is used to signify a decimal place)
Code:
1
00:02:48.902 --> 00:02:51.302
Don't tell me what's in

2
00:02:51.371 --> 00:02:53.305
Tell me how to write

3
00:02:53.373 --> 00:02:55.933
Don't tell me how to win

A sample from ep 1 of Ninja Scroll the series (my rip so I am not sure you will find these anywhere, not that it matters though)
Code:
1
00:00:36,320 --> 00:00:38,914
Roga, return the
Sacred Dragon Stone!

2
00:00:59,000 --> 00:01:01,434
It looks like
it's going to be noisy.

3
00:02:43,280 --> 00:02:45,316
Where are you going, Roga?

Rather nicely your subs do not feature many fullstops and where they are is rather unintuitive so if you were planning to go back and redo them I could simply replace them all with commas (I used a hex editor and replaced 2e with 2c but you could just as easily use something as basic as windows notepad (although I would use something more advanced as notepads search and replace is very basic)). I would consider it as I notice stuff like this (I am guessing this is a fairly raw subrip from DVD):
35
00:04:47.887 --> 00:04:51.254
y ou cannot touch
the way l play

I also see I's as l and 1 but there are cleanup algorithms for that in subtitle workshop.
Anyhow here are your subs with fullstops as commas and opening fine in subtitle workshop (which I dare say makes some sentences make more sense):

If you want them deleted after you got them say the word.
