Also, to avoid copying those files to every folder, create an environment variable ARMCC41BIN and set it to the proper path (C:\Program Files\DS-5\sw\ARMCompiler5.05u1\bin in our case)

There exist also the variables ARMCC41INC and ARMCC41LIB that could be relevant at some point(?).

Can i use
DS-5 Community Edition?
no, that free license doesn't include the ARM compiler.

I think you can just use Tap-Win32 virtual adapters and keep registering trial licenses every month though.

Simply install OpenVPN and you can delete and create new virtual adapters at will.

Does any one else get this error when compiling samples?

File jpeg\OMakefile: line 18, characters 0-57
unbound variable: global.INCLUDES

Edit: If the sample folder is under the CTR_SDK folder it will work.
Like this:
[yoursdkpath]\CTR_SDK\sampledemos

This question is a bit late, but I need some help.
I setup a new Virtual PC because the license was expired.
Downloaded all needed things, installed WindowsXP Home Edition x32 on my VPC, installed omake, devkitpro and DS-5 ARM Community Edition (32bit) on this VPC and setup all needed things.
Now I get this error while compiling

"no such feature exists"
armlink filesize=> 6.238KB

Can someone help me with this?

Are you using the same old account on the 30 days trial? You might have to create a new account to get a new valid trial license.

cute.

It's an SDK, it's exactly what you need to write software for the 3ds(ctr).
Otherwise it wouldn't be called an sdk.
I think you might be thinking of getting nintendo's source code and using it to write your own sdk from it. That's dumb.
how you do to create this notifications?

Can this SDK properly sign CIAs so they can run on a retail console without signature checking patches?
Probably not, because I believe nintendo does that themselves with the CIAs they get from devs, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Nope, only Nintendo can sign CIAs when you send them a Submission via CTRMasterEditor.
With this tool, you can create "Submission Documents" you have to send to Nintendo.

Here's a example:
