I've seen a lot of talk about this having been done before, and now I'm trying to do make a few region free myself, but I don't know exactly what to place with what.

Answers I'm not looking for are:
CIA converters make them region free on conversion. (Doesn't help when it's already a cia)
CFW is already region free so there's no need to make it region free (This isn't a question about CFW, and it doesn't affect what I'm doing that CFW is region free.)

Decompress CIA
Recompile CIA as .3DS
Use CIA converter to make it region free.


Either WAY you WILL HAVE TO DECRYPT THE CIA to make it region free.

As you have to edit the ExHeader File and the Icon.bin
