Hi guys. Im about to buy a wii for my first time and install the homebrew/usb loader. I was wondering if you could tell me if i can install the official wii firmware 4.2 before i do this? I don't want to load 4.3 (the current firmware) as i believe its much harder to get homebrew working after that, is there some unofficial app or something used to load older firmwares and can someone direct me towards it. The reason i want 4.2 is it includes playing off sd cards where as my mates 3.2 hacked wii doesn't.
