Homebrew How to install legit CIA files 9.3-10.3

I think HHD has the new encryption which means HANS wouldn't be able to launch it
That's just my guess though, I'm not 100% sure

What region is your 3DS? i.e. you'd need a USA CIA to run on a U system, an EUR CIA to run on an E system etc.

Region4 is the "region free launcher" option in the HBL, should be the first thing when you boot to it

well on the grid launcher it only let me use the cartridge.

Hey there, adding my own placebo method to the list, it worked twice in a row for me, maybe it'll work for you, maybe not.

1.Boot your 3DS, go to HBL with menuhax
2.Launch CHMM
3.Here's the new trick: press B to scan your themes
4.Wait around for 30 seconds or more and spam the A button to get out of CHMM before the search is over (no risk of fuckin' up your SD card, don't worry)
5.Boot FBI immediately
6.Hopefully you'll see "Done" and be able to install your legit CIAs.

I think (at least with grid launcher) that region4 only works with physical games. I booted into it and holding select brought up a screen to select whether to boot with HANS or region4, but it didn't let me choose the game, only let me actually do anything if I had a physical game in my console.

But I run Smash Bros EUR with Region4

You're pressing select in the game title, right?

Yes and unsigned CIA so basically anything it dosent have to be Legit.

So if I downgrade to 9.2 and install cia's through FBI they will be on my homescreen to select like my legit usa ones on 10.3? I assume I would still have to use Hans for EUR cia's still though?

Finally got it to work on my EU N3DS XL 10.3.
Booted 3DS via MenuHax to HBL, opened eShop, navigated a bit araound, exit via L+R+Dpad Down+B, launch FBI and hold A.
FBI was very laggy, but the installations were fast.
It's a pain in the ass, hopefully there will be a improved version.

Also, will any of these hacks have conflict with the upcoming 10.3 GW? I've heard that there were risks of bricking if you had other hacks installed and used GW.

Yes, they run without homebrew and FBI - once you install them, you're good. I don't believe GW and this together will cause bricking - legit cias are just like games you've bought from the eshop.

I got ACHHD but when i launch it through hans i just get a red bottom screen.

AC:HHD won't work on non-EUR consoles due to a required update. It doesn't matter what you try to run it through, since you can't update it, you can't play it.

As far as I'm aware, yes. Anything else can be run through Hans/Region4.

Nope with cfw you can have region free cia on your home screen.

Is there any way I can get banned from the eshop by doing this? If I do get banned, will this affect my access to the wiiu eshop if I'm using the same account?
