Hacking How to install games on external hdd and can be used on any PS4 (that can run HEN)

in my country there are someone that sell external HDD contain games that can plug and play on any exploitable PS4.
just wonder how can they do that ?
if they format hdd as extend storage that HDD must bind to that PS4.
but if it is App2Usb it has to install pkg on that PS4 first and move file to external and leave shortcut on internal.
but in this case this external HDD can be used interchageably btw any exploitable PS4.

Extended storage drives work on other exploitable PS4's.
Run HEN first then plug in the extended storage drive and the drive will then be linked to that PS4 and the games on it will then be playable on that PS4.

From my experience you're right, you can't just plug in an external to another PS4 because it encrypts it to the one PS4 unless you use apptousb.

Thats why its important to run HEN first before you plug it in.
I have an extended storage USB with games on and it works on all 3 of my PS4's.

Nice, that's good to know if my PS4 ever goes out and I have to buy another one I can keep my games from my external.

is there a way to install pkg to a formatted ps4 usb drive? with out the need to copy the pkg to a usb drive then install internally then copy over from ps4 internal to external ps4 drive?

Yes, change install location under storage. It will install directly to external.
