When I do file upload/download the transfer speed is no more than 700KB/s, this is so painful for large files, is there a way I can increase the transfer speed? Using the same router (a cheap one I bought years ago) I got much higher speed when doing FTP transferring on PS3.

Anyone has an idea?

Transfer speed is limited by the console (or homebrew library).
there's nothing you can do, though some users manage to get 800KB/s (or even 1MB/s?), but don't expect more.

I've 50KB/s when uploading ...
But wow this is really limited, even with a $80 phone (i can't watch a video on my youtube without waiting 10-15mins with this phone) i got 1.5MB/s in upload

You mean by the FTP server (in this case, on the console), right?

Is there a way I can copy the file to my SD card, and do a copy or duplicate or send?

(Darn it I still haven't figured out how to upload images)

there is already a way to do it, by using WUPserver. This is how WUPHax and CBHC was initially done. it's now automated with homebrew installer, but on first release the user needed to copy file to NAND manually.
You need Mocha to install the debugger (or fw.img with wupserver enabled), then you use Python commands as client on your PC/phone/whatever to connect the the server and use command line to copy from/to SD/USB/NAND/Lan.

you'll need to learn the comman dline.

back then I tried to copy files from SD to USB using wupclient and it was garbage, I got the same miserable speeds as if I was copying them from the PC.
I guess the files were not being copied directly, they have to be buffered on the PC or something.
