    HARVEST MOON!!

I've only played the SNES, and GBA versions but I think one crucial element is missing. An Ending!
I think that the game should have an ending. I think that there should be an RTC that allows old people to die, after x amount of years if their events have been all experienced, town kids to grow up and become atleast teenages, and your baby to turn into a useable character.

I think that every ten years, your character should "age" maybe grow a beard, then get grey hairs then be all gray but still hearty/healthy and one day need "rests" between his work.

I think that after 60-75 years the game should end. I just do. It would be sooo much more satisfying that way. And more realistic.

What are some games that you enjoy but they have irksome elements to them that you'd like changed. And how do you recommend those changes take place?

Have you played Innocent Life : A Futuristic Harvest Moon?

I love that game ... it, as they all do, need to go on longer ... I want my character to die in bed, of old age ... not just have the game stop [IMG]

Oh, this was my roundabout way of agreeing with you, by the way lol

I only heard about it not long ago. One day I will pick up a PS2 because of all those great games that were on it (plus its cheap now) but personally I never owned one and I never put much effort into researching the communities that loved it so I missed out on a ton of great games.

I plan to get and play every HM game made to date eventually, but right now I put all my focus in to game Dev scenes and want a Linux Handheld and a DS Flash card. The homebrew support is amazing for so many, many systems.

Many of us are awaiting the launch if the Pandora, late this Summer.

I have a selection of portable Linux devices, and they are all great ...

I can't really play games "without aims" such as the sims, most strategy games, animal crossing etc...
I guess harvest moon is one of those.
Without aim, I don't really know what to do, and I'm not motivated, I prefer games with strong challenges.

Try Opoona ... imagine Animal Crossing + Harvest Moon + combat + greater RPG elements + storyline + a final goal ...

Well I dont mind games like AC so much, I haven't played but I've read enough about them, and the games are random and continuous. But there is only so much you can do in a stagnant world on a farm...

If you work at it, then you can unlock everything/ earn everything in HM is about 10 years max. Nothing every changes though. The weather is really kind of random during the seasons and the towns folk stay the exact same...

If I pick up HM from where I was playing months ago everything will be just as I left it. If a AC player turns on their game from weeks ago, then something around town will most likely have changed.

I know someone from another forum who made custom clothes for their character and when they picked it up a month later, everyone in town was wearing some variations of their clothes...

as for the topic, I really think Nintendo needs to find the secret of longer WarioWare games.... dont think a game that will last a day is worth 30 bucks D:
