also, did you check if there is more than one page? when i first jailbroke my idevice, the icon was on the second page.

try reseting your ipod touch by holding the sleep button and menu button at the same time.

how many gigabytes is your ipod touch?
if it is under 32gb then it will not work.

just try again.make sure to let go of the home button when it says it's in dfu.if not try greenpois0n.

3rd generation ipod touch have the exact same hardware as the 2nd generation ipod touch.
which limera1n doesn't support.
use greenpois0n instead.

nevermind, greenpois0n doesn't support 2g ipod touch yet.
you cannot jailbreak your ipod as of now.
wait until a jailbreak is released for your model.

i just did this literally four days ago on my 2nd gen ipod touch.

**important** back up everything in itunes before you wipe. if some thing goes wrong (it did for me) all data, apps, etc. will be lost.

*****more important***** any notes, game data, etc. will be deleted and cannot be backed up. make sure you email yourself notes, and you can take screenshots with ipod touches of your high scores by holding down top left button (lock) and pressing center button (home), and it takes a screenshot.

***another thing***

if you do accidentally do something wrong, and ipod touch won't turn on, just download the 4.1 firmware, and restore your ipod in itunes.

any apps you downloaded, whether paid or free, or free and now paid, you can re-download at no charge!!!

i am 100% sure of this ^^^^ i had dozens of open feint games that were free for 1 day and paid the next, and i re-downloaded all at no charge. aswell as games i downloaded as paid, and are still payed.

****trust me**** it will look like you're buying it again, it will show the price, and when you click it, it will say buy now. it will start the download and then say "you have already purchased this item, to re-download at no charge, click o.k.".
