    Hello everyone...
I finally received an Xbox360 today and it's awesome..

However this morning I found myself struggling to get the Xbox online through my computer (not through a router), because I can't access the router directly since it's in another room and I don't have the wireless adapter for the Xbox360. I knew that it could be easily done with a windows XP computer but I, being the proud linux user I am, don't own a single XP computer (only my sister's and I can't touch it without asking her first) and it was a problem for me to get on the internet with it.

I looked all over the Internet to find a solution to my problem and, after looking and trying some guides (like 10-11 guides @_@) I finally found one that works well, so I may as well share it with all of you.

If you follow the link here, it's easily explained how to make your PC a gateway that forwards the connection to the router. To connect your Xbox with it, after having done what is said in the guide, just plug the Xbox360 Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port in your computer that is set as a Gateway access. Then your Xbox should have no problems getting on the internet without having to buy some fancy stuff ^^

Hi there fellow Linux user. [IMG]

I don't have this problem atm, since I have easy access to my router. I will note it for future reference though, so thanks for posting it. [IMG]

Lol, today I went to a store to buy some xbox360 accessories and I saw the wireless adapter... it was 70fuckingEuros...What the hell? A brand new game limited edition costs less =_=

Too bad I've already worked out my problem [IMG]

Another solution: buy a D-Link wireless bridge (which isn't cost as the fuckin worthless ms adapter), configure it to your Wireless internet, connect the bridge with an ethernet cable to the 360, and BANG, you just saved a lot of money [IMG]

You do know that the official wireless adapter isn't the only add on which gets your 360 online?

Well, I guess there may be other methods.. in fact one is the one I showed in the first post.... however, it is the "official" one.. and it costs way too much D:
