ROM Hack how to get online on gateway alpha sapphire?

im given the error code 002-0123 you cannot use online services with this game card. what do I need to do to get past this? can it be done without a retail copy?

Need more info:
From you question, i assume you downloaded the rom and tried to go online.
If that is right, you need a header to inject into the rom to play online.
You can use a public header and get band from all online services. (just saying this now so you would know)
Or you can buy some cheap $5 or $10 game at best buy and extract you own personal header to play online.

If you by chance downloaded the game from somewhere, you will need a header. If you can't find a header, I recommend converting your game to CIA format, no header required. If you're using your own legit copy, just rename the rom to .3DZ
