Homebrew Question How to get MelonDS to use my sav file for platinum?

So here's a bit of a backstory, I had downloaded twilight menu++ for my 2ds xl and then later on homebrewed my switch, had a great idea to do a live play of platinum on discord to my server, so i got melonDS on there, and now we arrive at the situation where I want to transfer my .sav file to melonDS and have platinum boot from the .sav file. (while yes it would be easier to just make a new save, I have some event stuff on there that I don't exactly think i can hack back in since theres no PKSM desktop app from my understanding) Now I thought that it would be easy and that the game would boot from the .sav to where i am but instead what i got was a game that kept bringing me back to prof rowan's introduction before you even have any pokemon. So... any idea how i can get this to use the .sav file i extracted from my ds?

Your save file is required to match the official cartridge size of the game.

SSave-Type-Converter-v1-9 is what works.
These are the settings I used for my 358/2 Days save.
You need to figure out the ones for your game.

You can use pkhex to edit saves
