I have a 2ds on 11.5 and on http://smealum.github.io/3ds/
are no payloads for 11.5
You can't. There is no payload. And you can't downgrade, so don't ask that.
am i fucked up???
You just can't get homebrew. If you want homebrew, install cfw. You can use ntrboothax for that. https://3ds.guide

That's not homebrew. That's installing cfw. I already told them about that.
To summarize what has already been said, you need CFW to be able to use homebrew on an 11.5 O3DS. You have three ways to install CFW on an 11.5 O3DS:
ntrboot method (requires a compatible DS flashcart plus way to flash it, or a DS flashcart that's pre-flashed)
DSiWare method (requires a second 3DS that already has CFW)
Hardmod method (requires soldering)
These are your only options.
Oh... Ok thx
uhm, i dont want to make a new thread for this, so I have cfw but how can I get into the homebrew menu on 11.5? ofc you can install homebrew in cia form but i need to get to the homebrew launcher, and since theres no payloads i cant get into it
If you have luma 8+, just open the homebrew launcher cia.
hm, I get an exception occured error when i do that.
Download 11.2 payload for smea's page and rename it for 11.5, Rosalina fucks homebrew compatibility, don't use it.
Only on really outdated homebrew. It gives a lot more permissions to applications, so it's worth it. You can exit to the home menu while in the homebrew launcher!
Since hax 2.6 you can return to home menu as well and as for those homebrews that require especific permitions you can use the cia format instead using a buggy 3dsx launcher like Rosalina is.
it didnt work for me...
what exactly should i name it? i got a 11.5 O3DS
Reposting this from another thread:
1. Go to http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ and scroll down to where you select your firmware.
2. Select OLD 11.2.0-35X (X means either U, J, or E depending on your region) and download the otherapp option (if it doesn't work, try the ropbin option).
3. Place the .bin file inside of this folder path: SD:/hblauncherloader. Rename the .bin file to OLD-11-5-0-38-XXX. Replace XXX with USA, EUR, or JPN depending on region.
4. Access the HBL.
It's not buggy. It just doesn't support outdated homebrew, which you really shouldn't be using anyways. And I was referring to going to home menu while homebrew apps are open, not just rebooting.
same issue. maybe I havent updated hblauncher in a while
EDIT: i think the latest is still 1.3 so... am i using the wrong launcher or something?
You need the HBL v1.3 CIA and possibly updated boot.3dsx from the starter kit.
