    On the website of newer SMB Wii said that there are some mods that do not work with Jap V2.
    Is there any ways to check the version of a retail disk and its ISO or WBFS?
    I have a HEX editor, Wii Scrubber and Wii Backup Manager.
    Thanks for helping!

    Versions are usually listed on the inner ring of the disc, along with the title ID and some other stuff. I don't know how else to check.

    If you have the ISO, you can check the game's header in hex editor (the first bytes of the ISO).

    GameID[6], DiscNumber[1], DiscVersion[1], SteamingAudio[1]
    SMNJ01 0 (first/single disc)This is what you want to check

    The disc_ver is base 0.
    00 = first version of the game = 1.0
    01 = 1.1
    02 = 1.2
    etc.
