I remember I did the arm9hax which took a close following of a 3 hour guide,I also am almost 100% sure I updated to luma b9 or whatever it is called. What is a good way to find out what cfw I am on?If I am on Luma can I just update my system to latest FW?What is the latest hack? Thanks.
If you have B9S, there's a boot.firm file on the root of your SD card. Luma3DS is a CFW. B9S is an entrypoint for the CFW.
So, if no boot.firm on the root of your SD card, then you have A9LH:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s
If there is a boot.firm on the root of your SD card, then you have B9S and can update by simply downloading the latest version of Luma3DS
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/tag/v9.1, extracting the boot.firm file and putting it on your SD card, overwriting the old one.
After you figure out which method you're using, and then update to the latest version (if you're on A9LH still, update to B9S) of Luma3DS, you can then update your system to latest firmware.
Latest entrypoint is B9S, which can be loaded onto any 3DS model via certain DS flashcarts. There are also other free methods for going from stock to CFW. All in the guide I linked you to.
