Hacking How to extract 00000072.app

I'm trying to get themes on my wii but I can't seem to extract my 00000072.app so I can convert the themes. I'm trying to use the softmii nand dumper (even though I don't have soft mii installed) to extract it. But when I start the program it gives me a auth as su failed error. I have two questions: How can I make this work? and if not, Is there another way? Thanks
