I have decrypted a dumped cxi of mario kart 7, and I am wondering how to edit these files. I have installed every file explorer and been able to successfully export images from the menu, but they are stored in bin files and I cannot edit them. I looked up how to and it seems that bin files are usually used for games, and they aren't possible to edit or extract an image from. Please help me, anybody? Also, I'm planning to edit the files then put them into a modified CTGP-7. I have been able to replace normal characters with the colored shy guys sofar, so I know how to build CTGP-7, just not sure how to go about editing these files to make them new things instead of just copies.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons. -

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.+1

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
