    I gues on earth.
All bans are now superbans, but some people are still able to update their FW. My guess is, that they have downloaded the update before.

Do NOT wipe the error logs at all if the switch has been online once.
Because a miss match of what has been sent and what's stored on the server results in a ban.

Factory reset does not wipe the error logs and I would only say wipe them if I it's baned or your selling it as a baned console (even if it's not yet as it will be in time)

    Backup rawnand before doing.

Mount your SYSTEM's Switch using HacDiskMount (biskey 2 to test).

Delete all files from SYSTEM/save/ except 80000...120.

Mount your USER's Switch (biskey 3 to test)

Delete all files from all folders inside of USER.

Restart your Switch, you have a super clean nand for now.

    Cheers.

From what I gathered by reading various threads on here.

Deleting telemetry report will cause a flag and then get you banned.

Using Hekate to boot blocks some flags from getting to the telemetry report (such as Console booted into RCM mode).

Restoring your NAND is probably your best bet. You can always go in system management and check the games and saves and see if there's any games there that you might've used in XCI format.

Also if your console is updated to a newer version than what your NAND backup is, do the following:
    - restore your NAND using Hekate
    - use ChoixdujourNX to install the firmware version you had before restoring and disable AutoRCM afterwards to make sure you don't mess your fuses up.

    Hope that helps,

Actually no. People are still mislabeling what a "superban" is. The current bans, the ones done in waves as normal, as online gaming and e-shop bans. Superbans are CDN bans and those aren't THAT common anymore

Guys, wanna thank you for all the support and info you are sharing. They are really helpful to understanding how things work (telemetry/ban/superbans/updating the system without burning fuses etc).
In the meantime I will restore my original NAND and check if are present save game files related to XCI as suggeted by Khar00f
    I will update asap.

I love the current ebay atmosphere on "used" switches. "the screen is completely shattered and unusable, no joycons or any accesories. not sure if banned. cost is 50% the price of a brand-new switch".

But I agree. restore, reset, and see what the status is after that.

FYI, factory restore settings offline will delete all tickets, error logs, and user information. Literally you will have a clean nand.

If you've ever connected to the Internet on current nand settings, theoretically, restore nand backup will also get you flagged.

Ultimately, ban will give you an easy life to enjoy gaming.

So here's my situation and where I think things are unclear yet about Telemetry.

On my hacked switch, I have consistently used XCI's and NSP's on it while connected to WiFi i have done all my game updates through Wifi, I've played local multi player while connected to WiFi and i can say I'm not banned yet.

I don't have an NNID on that switch
I never played online on that switch

Based on those things I think the telemetry report only gets uploaded if you have an NNID linked, otherwise I don't know how I'm still not banned.

Where did you get that from?
AFAIK the scene said right from the beginning that a factory reset does NOT delete error logs.
So this is far from "clean nand"

This is the case because all CFW prevent either the report creation (Atmosphere and those using it (except SXOS)) or block the connection to Nintendo (SXOS).
This means there is just no telemetry happening to Nintendo.
As soon as you stop using the CFW there will be. And if there are reports saved, because they were created before the implementation of protection (in Atmosphere) or while using SXOS, they will get send.

Only restoring a clean NAND backup with current data (as far as Nintendo knows) is "save".
This means: No error reports that vanished, no error repors of HB or unowned titles, same or higher system version (with update report if higher) should be taken as "as save as it gets"

    OK then just delete SYSTEM\save\80000000000000D1

There's no place the error logs could be saved other than that file. If you wouldn't sure about, just wipe all SYSTEM\save\*.* except 8000000000000120 for the system to initialize settings.

    I gues on earth.
That literally does not clean error logs nor saved telemetry.
Why do you think that it is stored in user partition? Real question. I don't know here.

That is only viable if you never had a report uploaded before.
And then again, why not just restore a clean NAND (everyone should make before doing stupid things), and go 99% save?

And do factory restore settings offline/online will delete all error logs LOL. Nintendo will ban all their users for empty log history.

The ones cause the ban is strange error logs (2162-0002 for a good example), playing nsp/no-cert xci and connect to the Internet without any protection.

I'm still not banned so yeah I trust in my experiences.

I know what you want to say, but I'll say it. If you clear your logs, you can get banned. It's not like Ninty is banning new users :P

Wouldn't ChoixdujourNX make my brand new NAND, dirt again?
Because, i updated my 6.0 clear nand to 6.01 and forgot to backup it again =/

I use SX OS exclusively and I disable the "stealth" mode from SX OS as i connect to Nintendo servers to update my games.

    — Posts automatically merged - Please don't double post! —

From what I read Hekate removes the flags that the system booted in RCM and if I'm not mistaking as well it uses creport (or something called close to that) which redirect all log "writing" elsewhere so that it doesn't affect the telemetry report.

    That's something that's better confirmed by @CTCaer and @Draxzelex

I'm of the same opinion, I don't consider a NAND backup "clean" if it has booted into CFW even once.
Which is why instead of using ChoiNX, I use the "risky" method to update (OFW update, stick in jig and hold vol+ as it restarts).

But then again, this can only be used once (imo asking for the same update twice in OFW is a flag, since it is a CLEAR signal to Nintendo that you somehow downgraded your FW), so I ALWAYS do a NAND backup after any OFW update.
