Hacking how to create a DVD Game Wii backup

1- my .iso does not have a .gcz

2- for the .org file is called only "Nintendo - Wii - Datfile (3480) (2019-05-04 18-00-53).dat" which is in the link of the forum you mentioned , in this directory there is already a file "/NKit_1.4/Dats/Redump/Wii/ "Redump.dat" I have to leave it or delete it

For 1:Which Format is it originally after you have downloaded it please ?
.7z/.zip/.rar ?
.iso ?
. nkit.gcz ?

For 2:
Only rename the File to Redump.dat please,otherwise it is not recognized correctly.Before you replace it,please check the Filesize/Date,maybe your already existing File is newer (but I think very unlikely).

Ok,then your ISO´s/Games are ready,you do not need any convert Actions.
The important Thing is,is MUST have a Size of 4.589.824 KBytes = 4.37 Gb.No Matter how big the Game really is (New Super Mario Bros. has a Game Size around 350 MB only..)
Except some Dual Layer Games like Super Smash Brawl or Xenoblade Chronicles,that Game Sizes are around ~7 Gb.

So it "fails" then maybe only on the DVD-R´s that you are using
(as mentioned,you never will have Issues with Verbatim)

and maybe the Wii Modell you have.Did you have checked the Modell




-> RVL-001 - very high Chance of can read DVD-Rs
-> RVL-101 - very low,better said no Chance of can read DVD-Rs

Please Note,also for the RVL-001,there are Drives,that simply cannot read DVD-R´s.
There is a Drive Database where you can check with your Serial Number if your Wii Drive is maybe compatible:
https://www.wiidrives.com/list
(your Browser maybe "complains" about an unsecure Site,please ignore it and proceed,no worries please)
This Database is "built" on unmodified Wii´s.That means,if your Wii/Drive was sometimes repaired or changed/swapped,it is no longer applicable...

fortunately I have RVL-001 but which has a cfw, I bought it second hand and never changed its drive

for my .iso when I burn to my DVD-R the disc doesn't read on my pc anymore and it makes a weird sound.

Another Sign maybe,that your DVD-R´s are maybe not the Best Choice.
If you burn these DVD-R´s with PC Data,are they ok on your PC and can you read it on the PC ?
Only to see,your DVD Bruner is ok too.

yes it reads my disks quickly, except I often use an external drive burner (but it was the same thing)

but I get this burning message when I insert any disc

But....
That solves unfortunately not his Problem,I think...

You can not read the Disc within the Exlorer BUT
if you open the WiiBackupManager and choose you DVD PC Drive



it should be appear/readable.

That is ok,it proofs your Game Disc is ok.

You can use it now to boot with the Wii Tool Neogamma on the Wii.
That is then the Proof,your Wii can read Backup DVD-Rs.If that fails too,you Wii is not capable of it....

Myself has also sometimes Issues with the USBLoader GX to boot DVD-Rs.

You can also try the Configurable USBLoader or WiiFlow (Lite) to test your Disc.

fortunately I already have NeoGamma on my wii

it's weird that it works because I've been burning it at that speed the
